Character: Elsa
Canon: Frozen II / Canon point end of Frozen II
CRAU: N/A
Age: 24
Background Information: Wiki link!
Personality: At first glance, Elsa seems distant, cool, reserved. On the surface she is the very essence of queenliness, with a regal bearing, a calm and quiet demeanor, a poised posture and an aloof disposition, but all of this is little more than a cover, a front that covers the complexity beneath.
Abilities & Inventory:
Abilities: Elsa is capable of manipulating ice and snow to a very powerful degree; she can use these powers in almost any way you can think of, from creating blizzards to building structures both small and large - castles, snow hills, icicles, pillars, even clothing - she can shape nearly anything from ice or snow. She also has the ability to create ice or snow creatures and imbue them with life, though I imagine that might be nerfed or at least reduced in some way for the game. Elsa is also able to manipulate already existing snow and ice, as well as producing it on her own.
Also, even more dangerously, Elsa is able to strike into the bodies of other people with her ice - their minds and their hearts, for instance, she can fill with ice, and if not removed it will kill the bearer in time, as their body slowly freezes over. When she is threatened, her powers will act on their own to protect her, and it is also worthy of note that they are highly influenced by her emotions. When she is overly stressed, angry, or anxious, it becomes more difficult for her to control them.
Inventory: Elsa will arrive only with her clothing and nothing else!
Suitability & Plans: Mostly I want to play Elsa in this game because it seems almost tailor made to fit her! Her magic in canon is very much based in her emotions - while it is not her emotion that makes the magic, her feelings and state of mind very much influence the power and use of her own magic. This is very similar to the dreamotion magic in Songerein, and I'm very excited to see how her control of emotion translates over to the manipulation of dreamotion magic as well. Of course, CR development for her is a top priority as well, as Elsa spent many years as a shut-in and it will be excellent to be able to develop all sorts of relationships with her.

Much and more of Elsa's personality was formed around the presence of her icy powers. As a child she was carefree and playful as any young girl, she was close with her younger sister Anna, and the two of them spent a great deal of time together playing in the snowscapes that Elsa would build for them. But after a dangerous mishap that nearly cost Anna her life, Elsa withdrew into herself, closing herself off from her family, and anyone who attempted to get close while she sought to learn better control over her quickly growing powers. But this cloistering did her no good, and shutting everyone away (including her parents, and her sister), only further compounded her insecurity, and thus made it more difficult for her to learn to control her ability, for fear and anxiety only make it worse, and Elsa was unaware that the warmth of love was what she needed to contain her power.
Years she spends locked away in her rooms, drawing away from her sister, whose memories of her ability had been erased, and soon enough, her parents as well, who attempted, without much success, to help her reign in her ability. Her father supplied her with gloves to help hide her powers and taught her to conceal, don't feel, put on a show, inadvertently leading her away from the true way to find control, and though he meant well, this only caused her to crawl further into her shell, to build around herself a wall that none could penetrate, an icy distance between Elsa and the rest of the world. This is a distance born from kindness, however, from a deep sensitivity and concern for the world around her; having nearly killed her sister had sparked a fear in her that never slept, and she lived in constant terror that she might hurt someone again. The gloves given to her became something of a lifeline, a security blanket that she clung to, and being without them caused her great anxiety.
All that changed when her powers were revealed. After a public altercation with her sister, and the subsequent accidental unleashing of her powers before the public of Arendelle, Elsa fled the kingdom to take refuge in the north mountain, building for herself a wondrous palace of ice in the frigid, empty wilderness. It is here at last that we see her cast away her mask and find her inner strength and happiness, for here she is able to live openly and freely, using her powers as she will, being able to be herself without having to worry about who will see, who will judge, and who will, potentially, come to harm.
But this happiness is a fragile thing, and all of Elsa's insecurity comes rushing back the moment Anna arrives at her castle to attempt to persuade her to come back to the kingdom. And so this warmth and brightness exists beneath Elsa's chilly exterior, it is buried beneath a thick layer of ice, and despite her elegant bearing and regal disposition, she has very little self confidence, and it isn't long before she loses control of her power again. To this end, she is incredibly stubborn, and despite Anna's pleas she refuses to believe in herself, refuses to let her sister near enough to her heart again, for her fear and worry far outweigh her weak and flimsy self esteem.
In time she is able to see past this, to find the love in her heart that she needs to control her powers, and with this revelation we see her open up a great deal more. Anna's sacrifice seems to open Elsa's eyes in many ways, and at last, with her heart open, she is able to learn how to reverse the effects of her own blizzards, confronting her fear at last, and grasping control of her magic. But this peace with herself was still fragile and new, and the insecurity lingered still, though though when a new adventure called her to the nearby enchanted forest, and further to the frozen depths of the glacier of Ahtohallan, as she discovers the truth of her family and her past, Elsa at last begins to fully and truly shed her chilly, aloof skin and embrace both her powers and herself, that they are a gift and not a curse.
Though most of her development occurs through the first film, there is still some to be said for her growth in the second. Through her trials in leaving the kingdom to chase a voice calling to her, Elsa finally finds her place and, most importantly, finds her self-assurance and real, true acceptance of her powers. The empty space inside of her that had always wondered at who she really is, and why she has her powers, is finally filled, and she finds an incredible peace and freedom the like of which she has ever known, fulfillment right down to her very core.

And so, in closing, Elsa is a a kind, elegant, regal individual, and though she can be quite insecure in herself she has a noble heart and a wild, energetic streak that she no longer seeks to keep under wraps. She is pragmatic, cool, and collected, but she has a warm and playful side as well, a remnant of the little girl buried too early beneath the burdens of adulthood. She enjoys ice skating, loves chocolate, and adores her little sister more than anyone else, and despite her cool and calm exterior, a warm, caring heart beats beneath it, eager for adventure.
